The WAND Mental Health Helpline is a user led independent mental health charity based in Barnstaple and has been helping people in Devon with mental health issues, their carers, family and friends over the phone since 1999.

The helpline is confidential and free to use. They don't judge or discriminate or give advice, they just listen when people want to talk things through.

The helpline is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from 8pm - 11pm.

Without voluntary donations from individuals and organisations like NDMC, WAND wouldn’t be able to offer the freephone service to those in need of crucial emotional support when they are lonely or distressed.

£15 Pays the phone costs of a 45 minute call from someone who needs emotional support;

£20 Pays for 2 volunteer’s expenses to cover a helpline shift;

£250 Pays for all costs needed to keep open one helpline shift.
