Trevor Slee laid out 6 demanding tests at Sugworthy for the second of the Club's Production Car Autotests. With the help of John Barthram, Dave Newland, Margaret Galliford and Derek Drayton, the event was well marshalled, so it was disheartening to see just 2 adults and 4 Griffins competing.

The weather was kind to us on this occasion - warm sunny with a light breeze - and the ground was in excellent condition providing a sound surface for all the tests. Even with a small entry the competition was fierce with just a few points seperating the classes.

Russ Drayton peddled his Honda to very good effect and was the class of the field, and Jack Lamburn demonstrated refined control to win the Griffins section. There really was very little between the Griffins - any one of them could have won and it shows the greatly improved performances by them.
