The first Treasure Hunt of the year was organised by Mike Reed and Sally Jenkinson, and started at Safeways Car Park in Bideford. A disappointing total of just 4 crews turned up to take part, maybe being put off by the rain and the fact it was Mothers Day?

The route took the teams out of Bideford towards Gammaton Moor and Newton Tracey, winding their way through the lanes to finish at the Wimpy at Roundswell.

First to arrive were Colin and Liz Reed, followed closely by Dave Newland and Margaret Galliford. After a considerable time, Fred and Sheila Partridge arrived, complete with daughter, son-in-law and grandson, and a few tales of Fred's navigating skills! Last back were Neil Partridge and Karen Gerring.

Luckily the rain relented and all seemed to have an enjoyable afternoon, and hopefully more crews will take part in the next event on May 19th.
