Mid Summer Treasure Hunt
Starting from the Little Chef at South
Molton we routed the teams through the Pathfield Business Park and onto
North Molton, East Buckland, West Buckland and Filleigh before finally
returning to the Little Chef.
Searching for new ideas and ways of planning, we decided that they would
have to collect objects along the route - this was done with ease, so
that didn't work, but a few of our clues did baffle them!
Mick and Sally were first to leave followed by Tommy & Nicol (aided
and abetted by Liz), Rochelle & Lisa, Neil & Karen. Good to
see Mick and Sally taking part after a break from treasure hunts (apparently
we were a better option than a boot sale - should we be insulted?) They
had lost none of their skills, struggling with only a couple of our
clues and returning first!
Next to return was Rochelle & Lisa (who we met at one point in a
very narrow lane!!!!! )
They had done well and gave some very amusing answers. We then had quite
a wait for the last two teams to come in - all I can say is, thank goodness
Dumpy & Margaret weren't taking part. It was very close between
these two with Karen & Neil pipping Tommy & Nicol by two points.
Well done and thank you to them all for taking part.
It would
be rewarding to see a few more taking part, no special flair or vehicle
is required, just a couple hours of good clean entertainment.
