Gymkhana at Sugworthy - 25th June

A small entry was reflective of the organiser's awareness of other sporting events such as the Canadian F1 and a slowly growing popular sport of football!! However Tracy Moore set some really enjoyable tests, which the results show, were hotly competed. A lot of discussion between the competitors was "is it quicker to go slow and wider or attempt the aggressive quicker and tighter style". There was a slight advantage of running later as the dry earth beneath the grass gave a small amount of extra grip, but only small. What is evident is that both Tom Moore and Sophie Drayton, who are juniors, were able to demonstrate that their driving skills are equal to that of the adults. Well done to you both. Kevin and Tom are organising the next event on the 16th July. There is no championship event in August but it is hoped to have an event with Holsworthy Motor Club.
