Gymkhana

Gymkhana at Sugworthy - 16th July

The weather forecast said that it was going to be hot, and it was. Thankfully Sugworthy provided a breeze, which meant that it was a little cooler than the 25c predicted.

The competition between the competitors was just as hot, as the times show, with Scott taking just 4 seconds off myself and Tommy showing that there is many a good tune played by an old fiddler!! It was memorable to see Tommy sliding the car around the cones and as Nicol commented, "I didn't think Granddad could do it".
New to any type of motor sport was Jason Randall, who was advised by Jack. Jason gave an impressive performance and quick times for a first comer. Sophie has still to get to terms with reversing but is still the skills and is showing continued development. Less can be said for her navigator.

The event was organised by Kevin and Tom who had just returned from south Wales from another event. Tom was helped by Kevin to set the tests and Tom produced the results. (The IT is working).

A most enjoyable, fun event was supported by Jill and Nicol marshalling, with Jill showing that she can set a quick time on the final fun test.
