Classic Trials

Open to competitors in Cars and on Motorbikes and Combinations, Classic Trials usually take place during the winter months. The aim is to complete (or at least attempt) a series of 'off-road' sections and score the lowest possible number of penalties. These sections can be very steep and muddy and it is usually those competitors with specially prepared vehicles that enjoy the most success. However, much enjoyment can be gained by just attempting to climb that 'impossible' section in an almost standard vehicle

Trials are extremely popular events, and the NDMC organise two events each year - the Exmoor Trial in January and the Tarka Trial in October.

Are you going to marshal on the Exmoor Trial or thinking about it? Click on the link below for information on how to record the performance of a competitor. This can be very useful to study before the event instead of a few minutes before the first competitor is due. If you have marshalled in the past it would still be a good idea to read these guide lines as regulations do change and these Check Sheets are unique to the Exmoor Trial..
