The Masters Sprint

Updated: Aug 17, 2023

After a period of 12 years and much speculation, the North Devon Motor Club and its partners can finally announce the return of Sprinting at RMB Chivenor on the 12th and 13th August 2023.

The event has been re-branded as the Masters Sprint in memory their sitting chairman Martin Masters who sadly passed away last year and will be one of the longest single-lap airfield sprint courses in the country at precisely 2 miles.

The event is eagerly anticipated by competitors far and wide driving an equally wide range of motor cars. For example Tony Wiltshire in his Ralt RT34. Tony last raced at Chivenor in 2010 where he won his class. It was a different course layout back then and only ran on the Sunday so this weekend we will see brand new course records established. Who will win the two coveted Fastest Time of the Day awards?

The event will not be open to spectators, however if you fancy a chance to enjoy the spectacle by becoming a marshal for one or both days. Please send us a message via chiefmarshal@ndmc.org.uk

Come back here after the event for results and images from the weekend.
